Sun and Sea: Costa Rica 5 days, 5 nights
Day
1 Fly into San José and meet your tour coordinators @ the airport before dropping by the hostel. After a late ‘Welcome Dinner’ with the entire IHB group, head out to one of San José’s many clubs for some salsa, merengue, and a few cervezas.
Day 2
After an early breakfast @ the hostel, take a scenic van ride up to Cahuita. There’s a lot to do in and around the gorgeous Cahuita National Park. Come with us to our snorkeling excursion and explore Costa Rica's beautiful reef. Afterwards,
Horseback ride along the beach with the waves rolling in, or through Costa Rica’s rainforest and
waterfalls; either way it’s a magical experience.
Nightlife: Join your night coordinator @ Taberna Mono Azul for cheap drinks, dancing, and a good time.
Day 3
Day trip to the Reserva Biológica Hitoy-Cerere. This This beautiful reserve is remote, untouristed,
and full of undiscovered natural wonders via walking/ hiking trails. If you've ever wanted to
experience the jungle this is the best place to see Waterfalls and exotic animals like jaguars,
white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, tapirs, anteaters, sloths, armadillos, pacas and over 300 species of birds. Return to Cahuta.
**Day 4* And we're off to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca for some awesome surfing and for a zip-line canopy tour at Almonds and Corals. Puerto Viejo is known for its chill Afro-Caribbean culture. Offered around town are surfing lessons,
kayaking, similar tours as in Cahuita, and a lush botanical garden.
Day 5
Time for the drive back down to San José. You should have enough time to do a bit of
wandering and last minute shopping in this large and bustling capital before your flight back home. ¡Adiós!
